Filter press
Filtering process
The filter press plays an essential role in separating solid residue from the liquid product.
Filtering takes place by means of a fabric with specific characteristics of flow and permeability. The liquid product is driven through the fabric filter and the filter elements by the feed pump, with the cloths retaining any solid particles.
Control
The filtering process continues until the cavities in the filter elements are completely saturated with solid particles. This is monitored by a pressure switch, which interrupts the process when the maximum pressure is reached.
Machine structure and components
The machine features a sturdy stainless-steel frame that houses the supports for the filter units, the filter-pack closing piston and other essential components such as the control panel, the feed pump and a channel to collect the filtered butter. The filter press has a capacity of between 400 kg/h and 1500 kg/h, offering a solution that is suited to a range of production requirements.
